It has been a minute since I’ve done a true “trying new makeup” video, and apparently I decided to come back swinging—because I tested a bunch of new releases from Milk Makeup, Saie, Jones Road, and Kulfi (plus a few tried-and-true staples to save the look). I started with Dieux Air Angel because priming matters, and it’s one of my favorite skincare-primers for that light, cocooned moisture layer that makes makeup sit right. Then I put the new Milk Makeup Hydrogrip Gel Concealer to work as spot concealer and as more of an all-over base vibe…and honestly? First impression was not a love story. The shades I had weren’t quite right, and up close it felt like it was sitting on top of my skin instead of melting in. I also swatched the new Saie Super Suede bronzers and, for my very cool-toned complexion, they ran so warm that I wasn’t about to risk giving you “MAGA makeup.” I skipped applying them and used my Rare Beauty Liquid Contour instead, set with LYS, and moved on to the real star: the Jones Road eyeshadow sticks. Cream and Taupe were that perfect boring-but-flattering, smooth, blendable, no-drama matte moment I’m always hunting for. I finished with a Rare Beauty + Merit juicy cheek combo, tested Kulfi’s staining lip liner in La La La (love the blurred, blotted look), topped with Rhode Lemontini, and confirmed I still don’t really get Milk’s jelly shimmer stick situation.
