After years of shooting, I’ve stopped caring about lights that look good on paper and started caring about what actually fits my workflow. It’s compact, simple to operate, and it consistently gave me natural skin tones and honest product color, plus that magenta/green adjustment is quietly clutch when mixed lighting creeps in. Then the Molus X200 RGB shifted my expectations fast. It’s a 200W light that doesn’t feel like it should be that light, and that changes how you build a kit. The integrated V-mount approach cuts cable clutter, PD 3.1 gives more powering options, and the output gives you space—pull it back, keep exposure, and open up composition. What impressed me most was stability across the range (no weird color surprises), refined beam quality with the homogenizer, and RGB that feels rich without getting aggressive. My takeaway: the Colbor feels like a dependable studio companion, while the Zhiyun feels like a flexible system that adapts when you move fast across locations.
