In this LEGO City update I begin by building the LEGO French Café (set 10362) because when I picked it up last year, I had a vision of turning it into the facade of a new skyscraper for my LEGO City and then after I added the new LEGO 2026 Modular the Shopping Street into the city in the last update, I had the perfect place for it! Originally I built the set with the intention of removing it from the base, but then I realized how detailed the sidewalk in this set was, so I ended up having to do more modifications than I thought to fit it in the city. Not only did I have to shorten the build, but I also had top add a fake back and a new roof. Throughout this video I discuss my thought process and give you some status updates with how it’s going, as well as give you a little insight to how I’d like to expand this MOC even more! Let me know what you guys think of my idea and stay tuned for the next LEGO City update where I will hopefully start building upwards! -------- Thanks for watching this #LEGO videos! About This Video

What’s up you guys—Brad here, and in LEGO City Update #22 I’m finally kicking off a MOC idea I’ve been sitting on since Black Friday last year: turning the LEGO French Café (10362) into the front facade of a new skyscraper for my LEGO City. After I added the new Shopping Street in the last update, the timing was perfect because I had this narrow spot right next to the Jazz Club that’s been begging for something cool (and honestly, my city’s been missing some height). In this video I build the French Café exactly as the instructions intend first, then I start the real work—modding it so it actually fits my layout. I thought I’d just ditch the base, but the sidewalk detailing was way too good, so I kept it and rebuilt the footprint to match my corner space. That meant shortening the build, extending the sidewalk, adding a fake back wall (because the back of this set is… really ugly), and reworking the roof so it’s ready for me to start building upward in Part 2. I also drop a small vintage mini-build into the city near the diner/construction area, and then I test-fit everything until the café finally clicks into place with the exact vibe I was going for.
