This LEGO package almost got stolen, and I’m very glad it didn’t—because for a hot minute I genuinely thought it was gone. I ordered a LEGO Shop at Home haul and I was away when it was supposed to show up. On Saturday I got the notification saying it was “successfully delivered” to my lobby, so I figured I’d grab it when I got home… except I didn’t get back until Monday and I totally forgot about it. Then I got an email from my building manager saying someone who doesn’t live in the building got into the lobby and stole two packages. The second I read that, I panicked—because my tracking still said delivered. I contacted UPS and my building manager, and UPS hit me with the twist: they said it actually wasn’t delivered and they’d try again. Sure enough, it arrived Monday. Apparently it went back to the depot because I wasn’t home to sign for it, which makes the “delivered” scan even more confusing. Once it finally showed up, I did a quick reveal: LEGO City 60486 EV Supercar, the brand new LEGO City 60487 Yellow Taxi, two postcard sets (Japan and Italy), and the real reason for the order—the Gift With Purchase 40886 Penguins in Love. I was stressed because the GWP window was over, so I’m seriously relieved this one worked out.
