LEGO dropped more than 150 new sets on January 1st, 2026, and somehow this little guy ended up being one of my favorites. In this episode of Mini Build Monday, I’m building and checking out the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 “Cute Hamster” (set 31376) with 166 pieces. You get three bags and—this is awesome—three different instruction manuals, because you can build the hamster, a little bird, or a little hedgehog. I focus mainly on the hamster build, and honestly it’s just ridiculously cute for how tiny it is. The flower feels a bit like an afterthought, but I actually really like the design because it’s not something I’ve really seen before. The hamster has a bit of poseability: you can move the hands/paws a little, the head moves up and down (and can spin if you really want to), and you can display it sitting up showing the belly or down on all fours. The back is a little ugly since you can kind of see into the head, but that’s the tradeoff for the head movement. Overall, it reminds me of Zuzu pets, and I love that LEGO’s doing animal builds that are bigger than a polybag but not huge like the bigger cat/dog style models—this one hits a super fun sweet spot.
