About This Video

In this video I’m sharing the exact moment I discovered Hirono… and how it spiralled into a full-on Pop Mart era. I start with my very first Hirono Echo Series blind box unboxing—slow, cozy, and very much a “just one more” situation—then I show you why these characters grabbed me so quickly. The designs feel nostalgic and a little melancholic in the best way, and that’s basically my weakness when it comes to collecting. Then Hirono meets Hobonichi: I found the cutest pendant chain blind boxes and started using the little charms to decorate my Hobonichi covers. It’s such an easy way to add personality without changing my whole setup, and it makes my planner feel like a tiny seasonal display on my desk. After that, I take you with me to the Pop Mart pop-up in Covent Garden (yes, I went in person) and we do a big haul + unboxing together. I wrap up with a little commonplace/ephemera deep dive, because of course the collecting quickly turns into “how do I journal with this?” energy.
