Spring has arrived — quietly, moody, and botanical. In today’s video, I’m setting up my planner and journal for the spring season, including a full cover change, seasonal reset, and memory-keeping refresh. #hobonichi #spring #journalingcommunity I’m switching my Hobonichi A5 Cousin cover from Tokyo National Museum: Hasegawa Tōhaku – Pine Forest (a perfect winter atmosphere) to the Tolight: Garden of Botany cover — a darker, more gothic take on spring with deep purples, a subtle check pattern, and painterly floral details. Choosing a spring cover this year wasn’t easy. While the Detective Conan: Case Closed cover caught my eye, it felt more autumnal and wasn’t quite right for this season. I also considered older designs like mina perhonen Jelly Beans + Tambourine, which has a beautiful pastel, landscape-like feel — but ultimately, I wanted something more atmospheric. This cover will be housing my Cloth & Paper spiral-bound planner, which I now divide by season to allow space for ephemera, journaling, and memory keeping without the bulk of a full-year setup. In this video, I also choose a coordinating spiral wire colour, customise the planner cover with winter memories arranged in a crossword-style layout, and add a spring embellishment with a slightly spooky floral touch. To finish, I fill the Hobonichi cover pockets with stickers and stamps I’ll be using throughout spring — creating a setup that’s both beautiful and functional. If you enjoy gothic stationery, seasonal planner resets, Hobonichi setups, and planners that tell stories rather than just schedules, I hope you’ll enjoy this video. 🖤🌿 Some meanings are meant to be found, not given. ------------------------------- ✸ links: 📸 ig: @spiritindex 👩🏻‍🎨Art Channel: / @studio.spirit 🖋️ Let’s connect! ✸ contact: spirit index.uk@gmail.com ------------------------------- 🎧 Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1kW... 🎧 Apple Music Playlist: / valentines-mix

About This Video

Spring always arrives for me in a very specific way—quietly, a little moody, and full of botanicals. In this setup, I’m doing a seasonal reset across both my Hobonichi and my memory-keeping system: a full cover change, a fresh pocket refresh, and a small ritual of making my tools feel like they belong to the next few months. I switch my Hobonichi A5 Cousin cover from Tokyo National Museum: Hasegawa Tōhaku – Pine Forest (which is basically the perfect winter atmosphere) to the Tolight: Garden of Botany cover—dark purples, a subtle check, and painterly florals that feel like a slightly gothic spring. Choosing a spring cover wasn’t straightforward this year. The Detective Conan: Case Closed cover tempted me, but it read more autumnal than spring, and I also considered older mina perhonen designs like Jelly Beans + Tambourine for that pastel, landscape-like softness. In the end, I wanted something more atmospheric. This Tolight cover houses my Cloth & Paper spiral-bound planner, which I now divide by season so I can actually make space for ephemera, journaling, and memory keeping without the bulk of a full-year setup. I coordinate the spiral wire colour, customize the cover with winter memories in a crossword-style layout, then add a spring embellishment with a slightly spooky floral touch—beautiful, functional, and story-forward.
