Lightly grease an 8×8 baking dish. Season the chicken: In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and minced garlic until evenly combined. Make the sauce: In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, heavy cream, and chicken broth until smooth and pourable. Assemble layers: Spread half of the chicken in the bottom of the dish. Pour half of the sauce over it. Add the rest of the chicken. Pour the remaining sauce on top. (I found out that it is better to mix it all together in a bowl and spread it out) Top it: Arrange the sliced jalapeños evenly over the surface. If you like, drizzle a little of the pickled jalapeño juice over the top. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar over everything, then finish with the bacon pieces. Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes, until hot and molten with the cheese melted and bubbly. Serve hot. Spice level is up to you. Add more jalapeños or seeds for extra heat, or go lighter for mild.
