I spent New Year’s in Tokyo in the coziest, most “let’s just wander and see what happens” way—starting with a little family time and then leaning fully into winter city days. This vlog is basically a love letter to snowy Shibuya: cafe hopping, browsing shops, and doing that slow, observant travel thing where you’re not rushing, you’re just noticing. I also took a night to head out toward Roppongi and Tokyo Tower, which always feels a little unreal (in the best way), especially around the New Year when everything feels extra reflective. I also dipped into JDM car culture with a Daikoku meet moment, which was such a fun contrast to my usual cozy diary pace—still very “me,” just with more engines. Later in the week I did a Japanese hair transformation, squeezed in a salon + record cafe day, and ended with a stationery haul because obviously I can’t leave Tokyo without journaling supplies.
