ЁЯУН Tourist Places in Colombo During our 2 days in Colombo, we explored several famous attractions that you should definitely add to your itinerary. One of the most iconic landmarks of the city is the Colombo Lotus Tower, the tallest tower in South Asia and one of the most recognizable symbols of modern Colombo. From the top you get incredible views of the entire city skyline. We also visited the Gangaramaya Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in Colombo. The temple is known for its unique architecture, cultural artifacts and peaceful atmosphere. Another place you should not miss is Galle Face Green, a beautiful oceanfront promenade where locals and tourists gather in the evening to watch the sunset, enjoy street food and relax by the sea. We also explored Independence Square, a historic monument built to commemorate Sri LankaтАЩs independence. It is a peaceful place surrounded by gardens and colonial-style architecture.
