Well, I’ve got a few tips on what you can do to start rising up the rankings. First things first, the more downloads the better. A large audience will contribute to your podcast getting noticed but you can’t just rely on downloads to get your podcast into the charts. The thing to focus on is REVIEWS, which contribute to the Apple algorithm and will let them know that people are listening to and talking about your show. The type of review matters too. Apple is looking for a written review from listeners, not just a simple 5 star click. So how do you get your listeners to go out of their way to provide a written review? This is where you need to start working with your audience to give them an incentive to review your show. A great way to do that is by offering a giveaway to one of your lucky listeners who reviews your show. If you haven’t launched your podcast yet, this is an excellent opportunity for you to start building your community and get them excited about an offer you have for them and start getting into the charts early on.
