My S Tier is where I see the best overall combination of standards, warranties, flexibility, and long-term value: Diyanni Homes, Petros Homes, Parkview Custom Homes, Paine & Paine, and Perrino Brothers. These are the builders I like for buyers who care about quality and customization and don’t want surprises later. A Tier is where you can still get strong value, but you’ve got to stay engaged and understand the upgrade strategy—Drees, Schumacher, and Wayne all land here for different reasons. And in B Tier I talk about Pulte, where the gap between the base package and the “real world” finished home, plus service variability, is what keeps them from ranking higher in my book.
