I’m finally sharing a debt payoff update for November 2025 after being pretty quiet about it for over a year. Just because I wasn’t posting doesn’t mean the journey stopped—it’s been happening in the background the whole time. I started my debt-free journey in 2020 with $229,949.88 in total debt (yes, basically $230k), and the biggest piece has always been my private student loan. In this video, I walk through where my balances were coming into 2025, what I paid off this year, and why I’ve been more “autopay + vibes” than intense penny-tracking lately (even though vibes do not pay off debt). The big wins: I finished my 0% laser hair removal financing, and in July I used vested job bonuses to pay off my car loan ($19,150.81) and completely wipe out my federal student loan (about $7,127). That was over $40k of debt gone in one shot, and I filmed the payoff calls because an account balance to zero is an account balance to zero. I also talk about refinancing my private loan down to 2.99%, how I’m using 0% Apple financing for tech upgrades (and still counting it in my totals), and why I’m not ashamed that I traveled, ran Chicago, and lived my life while still making progress. I’m in “mess cleaning mode,” but we’re getting closer—especially to that below-$100k moment.
