Hey lil doodles! In this August 2024 Plan With Me, I’m setting up my bullet journal with a theme inspired by my very recent trip to Greece—aka my full “Mamma Mia / Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” childhood dream moment. I wanted the whole vibe to feel like a summer vacation postcard: travel stamps, tiny coastal doodles, and that Mediterranean girl summer energy. I built everything around a super limited color palette—deep cerulean blue (because Santorini roofs and ocean, obviously) paired with bright yellow for warmth—and I used colored pencil to outline instead of a black fineliner so it stays loose and sketchy instead of too structured. I walk you through my cover page made of stamp-shaped frames (beach chair, sailboat, tiles, shells, lemons, wine, flip-flops, bikini, and a little Greece coastal scene), plus an illustration/quote page that’s basically a vintage postcard sitting on the journal. Then we get into the monthly calendar with stamp headers for the days of the week, and a weekly spread where the stamp shapes become the actual boxes—complete with mini stamp doodles and a bit of Greek tile pattern to bring in bold design without taking over the whole theme. My biggest takeaway: if you’re stuck, limit yourself (two colors, small shapes, simple motifs) and trust the process—it makes a blank page way less intimidating.
