Hi guys—long time no vlog. In the spirit of my 2026 goals, I’m really trying to get better at recordkeeping and memory collecting, because I love being able to look back at old photos and videos and instantly feel transported. So in this video I’m bringing you along for a cozy, productive day at home as a stationery business owner, from getting ready (yes, I’m back to talking makeup a little) to diving straight into full-on Doodle Planner mode. After a very late lunch, I show you what it actually looks like behind the scenes while I design the 2027 Doodle Planner—because these launches don’t just appear out of nowhere. I’m about 65–70% done, and this time of year is basically blocked off in my brain for sampling, manufacturing timelines, and finishing designs by end of March/early April. I flip through past cover samples and fabric swatches, talk through how I pick covers (trying to avoid too much overlap and keeping “neutral girlies” and “pastel girlies” in mind), and why I’m aiming for fewer cover options this year. I also show my Notion tracker and my Adobe Illustrator workflow—how the hand-drawn monthly themes get digitized and applied across layouts like cover pages, calendars, habit trackers, and weeklies. It’s tedious but genuinely relaxing for me, and I’m also being extra careful with ergonomics (hello pen grip) so my hands survive planner season.
