Dear 2025… it’s me, setting up my bullet journal for my ninth year of journaling, and I’m going into it with a totally different energy: super low pressure. In this video I walk you through my full 2025 setup with a “patchwork/quilt” theme, because I love the idea of stitching together different styles—drawings, stickers, junk journaling, scrapbooking—without forcing myself into one perfect aesthetic. I’m also focusing less on the hardcore to-do list planning side (I still love a to-do list, don’t worry), and more on using my journal for mental clarity, thoughts, and an actual track record of my life. I create a first-page quilt “fabric swatch” spread with a photo of me + a letter to my future self, then a yearly overview/dashboard that gives me a big map of the year (launches, trips, rough plans) without needing tiny calendars everywhere. I also set up a goals spread with lots of breathing room (possibly a future vision board), a bucket list page (yes, including shows I want to watch), and my favorite: a 2025 time capsule mini flipbook where each month gets an Instax photo plus little prompts like favorite song, what I watched, favorites, and a misc thought. I finish with my quote page: “to the small things, the big things, and everything in between.”
