About This Video

Hi besties, it’s Amanda—and in this video I’m starting a little scrapbook/junk journal to collect my memories in a way that isn’t just social media. I’ve honestly had a harder time being consistent with bullet journaling lately, so I’ve been leaning into projects that make me excited to create again. This sketchbook (from Top Drawer) felt perfect for a late-20s “archive of memories” vibe—raw edge paper, vintage-y cover, and a bigger format so I don’t have to box myself into one theme like “travel only” or “one event per spread.” I walk you through a few spread ideas: a title page (“Welcome to my memories”) using ripped polka-dot sleeves from our Craft Fest booth, alphabet stickers, and my favorite red colored pencil accents, plus a photo printed on my Canon Ivy. Then I make a photo-heavy spread with photo booth strips and Polaroids (“snapshots from my 20s”), and another page compiling tickets from little events I don’t want to forget. The biggest takeaway for me is slow creation—taking my time, letting it be sentimental, and untraining the pressure to document everything immediately just because journaling is part of my job.
