About This Video

Has this suitcase been sitting in my apartment since I got back from Japan? Exactly in this state? Maybe. But anyway—welcome to a good old-school, sit-down, chatty stationery haul, because if I’m in Tokyo, I’m obviously coming home with stickers. Japan is literally the land of stationery, and I went to places like Tokyu Hands/Loft vibes (Tokyo Hands is where I did the most damage), plus a bunch of local shops. One of the coolest parts of the trip was visiting the Zebra Pen Japan offices. Mildliners are my go-to markers (I’ve been using them for like a decade), so getting to see their stuff up close was so special. I got Click Art pens, Mildliner brush pens, and the new Mildliner color set that I’m genuinely obsessed with—such a gorgeous palette. And yes, the Sanrio Mildliners exist, and yes, I freaked out. They also showed me Mildliner pigment inks you can dip brush pens into to mix colors and do ombré, which I definitely want to experiment with. Then it’s sticker city: cherry blossom everything, Snoopy sakura stickers, Sanrio fruit postcards and sticker sets, Miffy letter sets, Tamagotchi and Kiki’s Delivery Service sheets, plus super fancy embossed “seal” stickers from brands like GC Press. I also grabbed practical goodies like washi tape barrels, stamps + ink pads, cream correction tape for ivory paper (Hobonichi friends, I see you), and a clip that holds your journal open. I rounded it out with a few cute finds from Korea (Artbox puffy/fuzzy stickers and a charm) and Hong Kong postcards and travel sticker-y things—because I’m absolutely making a spread about that trip.
