Guys, I made my own blind boxes, and this video is basically me finally spilling all the lore. I’m taking you back to the beginning—my childhood obsession with cute characters (Pokémon, Powerpuff Girls, Studio Ghibli, Neopets… you get it), how that shaped me as an artist, and how Fredbert started as a comfort doodle in my bullet journal. From there, I designed a whole friend group on a livestream with you guys (yes, we even assigned MBTI), and I secretly already knew I wanted to turn them into plush keychain blind boxes. I also walk you through the very real, very expensive two-year sampling process—because I genuinely thought this would be easy, and boy was I wrong. We did so many revisions: bigger heads for maximum cuteness, fuzzier fabric for peak cuddly-ness, better structure while staying squishy, and so many color tweaks to get that exact cutesy palette I had in my head. I also learned to delegate: I focused on perfecting the plushies while my friend Caitlyn (who designed my Shop ARL logo) helped design the packaging. And then… we unbox the full set for the first time: Fredbert, Bow Bow, Taraveun, Puddle (my current fave), Luon, and Theodore—each with a character card for your journals. Plus, of course, I turned them into holographic sticker sheets, because you really thought I’d stop at plushies?
