In this video, I’m doing a Christmas movie bracket tournament, and y’all… this was tough. I’m putting classics up against newer favorites and making my picks round by round. We start with matchups like Elf vs. Jingle Jangle (I went with Elf even though I haven’t seen it all the way through—because it’s a classic and Will Ferrell is funny), and How the Grinch Stole Christmas vs. Charlie Brown Christmas (I had to choose Grinch because I watch it every single year faithfully). I also had to decide between Home Alone and This Christmas, Polar Express and Almost Christmas, The Santa Claus and The Holiday Calendar, and Rudolph vs. Candy Cane Lane. As the bracket narrows, it really comes down to what kind of Christmas you want to have. I chose The Polar Express over Home Alone because I love a Christmas that feels full of magic. And yes, I stood ten toes down on my favorites—How the Grinch Stole Christmas made it all the way to the top and won the whole thing, even against The Holiday Calendar (which is top three for me and a yearly rewatch). The real takeaway: all these movies are good, and your “best” Christmas movie depends on the vibe you’re trying to create.
