Hey vlog—welcome to my weekend in Scotland (study abroad ep 9) where I’m basically running on caffeine and vibes. We literally just got to Edinburgh, dropped our bags at the hostel (it was loud but honestly nice and huge), and immediately went on the hunt for coffee because after four hours of traveling I needed it. I did a castle tour, got so scared on a ghost tour (we were 100% about to get bullied because the guide was roasting people’s fashion), and then I met up with my friend K which was so exciting. The next day we did the big bus tour out toward the Highlands and it was unreal—like, fantasy-book unreal. I was staring out the window while they talked about the history and fully had a “I’m living the dream” moment. I’m not gonna lie though, that bus ride took a lot out of me and I felt sick for most of it, so we did a much-needed rot time after. We also had a free day where I slept in (me personally), grabbed coffee, walked to a gluten-free cafe, and had the best sandwich ever (I ate it too fast to film, so yes, picture insert energy). I tried haggis for the first time (10/10, it’s the texture that gets you), then we ended our last night watching the sunset by the castle before an early train the next morning—snacks were the top priority. Scotland is gorgeous, windy, quaint, and I 10/10 recommend.
