Hey guys, it’s Amelia :) In this episode of my Study Abroad Diaries, I’m taking you along on a few smaller UK trips that ended up being some of my favorite memories so far. First, a couple of my friends and I do a day trip to Brighton—literally the cutest little beach town ever. We lowkey had ChatGPT plan our day (and it actually ate), started with the Flower Shop Bakery (10/10), and then spent the rest of the day wandering around the Royal Pavilion area, the beach, and the pier. It was definitely chilly, but still so pretty, and it just made me want to come back in the summer even more. Then the next weekend, my program takes us to Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, and the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. Stratford was giving cozy theater vibes (yes, we saw Hamlet and yes it was three hours long), and Oxford genuinely made me want to become a student there immediately—especially because the sun was out and I felt unstoppable. We ate so well (Pie Minister was a 10/10 moment), did tours, climbed up for views, and had the most chaotic/fun Harry Potter house debates. Biggest takeaway: these trips are so much more fun because of the friends I’ve met—study abroad wouldn’t be the same without them.
