Good morning guys—happy first day of classes at JMU. In this vlog I’m kicking off junior year (actually insane to say) and taking you along for my first day(s) of classes. I was running on adrenaline because I kept waking up all night, but once I got ready, grabbed my coffee, and headed to campus, I felt so back in my element. I had three classes the first day—two for my Media Arts & Design major and one psych class—and honestly I had nothing bad to say because I had friends in every class, which makes the first day anxiety so much easier. I also talk about the very real struggle that is JMU parking (it used to put me in the worst mood), but this year I finally have a better parking situation and I’m so grateful. After classes I go into my “reset” mode: organizing my life, putting everything into my calendar, making to-do lists, and getting in a workout (cardio, abs, and a little Pilates). Then it’s birthday party + roommate time watching The Summer I Turned Pretty, which… put us in the worst mood because we’re invested. Day two feels like part two of the first day, and I share my schedule, my Amazon Alo dress dupe, and my plan to use a big break on campus as a productivity hour. We end with an ice cream social with friends and me getting convinced to rally and go out—because that’s just what happens when we’re together.
