In this study abroad episode, I’m taking you with me (and 11 of my friends from the program) on our 72-hour Paris weekend—like, truly a dream come true. We hop on the train right after I get out of class, realize we booked these tickets months ago before we even really knew each other (which makes it so much cuter), and then immediately get humbled by travel chaos: security lines, being split up in different train coaches, and arriving in Paris with no service and a dying phone while trying to find our hostel. Once we’re finally settled, it turns into the most fun, “check all the boxes” Paris itinerary. We do café mornings, our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, gardens, a much-needed rot time, and then we head to the Basilica area and grab crepes (literally amazing). We also go to a cabaret show (cash was a whole mission), and on our last day we hit a market, get pastries, see Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe, and end the trip with a little picnic-style dinner by the Eiffel Tower—mini wine bottles included. The biggest takeaway: Paris is SO special, and this is your sign to just book the trip.
