In this live session at Zion Tracks Records, I linked up with Troders Band to celebrate Malawi’s 61st Independence Day in a pure reggae style. From the jump I’m asking, “Are you ready?” because the whole vibe is about energy, unity, and lifting the people. We ran the music straight out of Malawi Africa, and I used the performance to push a simple message: don’t lean on money or charms—try Jesus, because “J love never end” and “Jello never fail.” That’s the testimony I keep sharing, days and days, because I’ve been there and I know what it feels like when real love is chaos. I also spoke directly to the nation and the community—real love is what we need for our country, and brotherly love is how we move forward. When your brother do good, sister do good; when a sister do good, brother got to do good. That’s the independence spirit I’m representing with the band: not just celebrating a date, but celebrating unity, faith, and real love among each other.
