In this video, I’m converting a 2020 Stumpjumper from the short travel setup over to a long travel configuration. The whole point is to take a bike that’s already fun and make it a little more capable when the trails get rough—more forgiveness, more confidence, and a bit more “send it” without turning it into a completely different machine. I walk through what the conversion is, what changes when you go from short travel to long travel, and what you should be thinking about before you start swapping parts. Stuff like how the bike’s feel and geometry can change, what that means for climbing versus descending, and why this mod can be worth doing if you want one bike to cover more terrain.
