In this video I’m putting the Insta360 X3 through a real mountain biking test on a bunch of MTB trails here in Florida. The whole point is to see how it handles the kind of riding I actually do—trees, tight turns, quick changes in light, and all the random trail chaos that makes filming rides tricky. I’m not babying it either; I’m running it in the highest quality output available and swapping modes as I go so you can see what each one is good for. I test three different ways to shoot: full 360 mode, Me Mode, and Single Lens mode. I wanted to get a feel for how easy it is to capture the ride, how usable the footage is afterward, and which mode makes the most sense depending on what you’re trying to show—speed, trail detail, or just a clean follow-cam look without thinking too hard about framing. If you’re trying to figure out whether the X3 is a solid MTB camera and which settings are worth using on the trail, this is basically the practical, ride-it-like-you-mean-it test.
