The setup this year is built around a dollhouse centerpiece, a DIY witch hut vibe, and that huge Home Depot 12-foot skeleton that basically steals the show the second you put it in the yard. I’m also mixing in a bunch of budget-friendly details like DIY Dollar Tree tombstones, because honestly those little props do a ton of heavy lifting when you spread them out right. The big takeaway is how I’m layering the scene: big vertical focal point (the 12-foot skeleton), mid-level structures (witch hut + dollhouse), and then ground clutter (tombstones) to make it look full from the street. I’m aiming for something that looks awesome at night, reads clearly in the daytime, and is still realistic to build if you’ve got a garage, a few tools, and the motivation to keep tweaking it right up until Halloween.
