In the video, I break down the four most reliable dishwasher brands in our data, then I circle back to the brand that looks worst at first glance, because once you understand what caused the service calls, it may not be “least reliable” at all. I walk through GE and GE Profile (same core platform) and why their simplicity and service support matter as much as features. Then I get into KitchenAid’s lineup—quiet, solid rack design, strong value in the lower and mid series—plus why you don’t gain much after the 400 series. Bosch and Thermador end up nearly identical in reliability because they share the same platform, so the decision comes down to things like noise and drying (CrystalDry, AutoAir), plus build differences across lines. Miele posts the lowest service rate we track, with AutoDos and excellent racks, but you’ll pay for it. Finally, I explain how one LG model’s top-rack design issue skewed the brand’s numbers—and why LG can still be a great value if you buy from a place that can actually service it.
