Download our FREE Dishwasher Buying Guide: https://blog.yaleappliance.com/free-dishwasher-buying-guide --------- 2026 Dishwasher Rankings: Miele, Bosch, KitchenAid, and Beyond Compared In this video, we rank and review today’s most popular dishwashers using a tier-based system and alphabetical comparisons to help explain how different models perform in real-world use. We begin with Miele, focusing on its washing system, drying performance, AutoOpen door, and AutoDos detergent system. We explain how AutoDos adjusts detergent based on the load and why users report strong cleaning results. We also discuss Miele’s low first-year service rate and note that while performance ranks highly, pricing affects its overall value. We then review Bosch and Thermador dishwashers, which share manufacturing. We explain how Bosch’s 800 Series uses Zeolite drying technology and CrystalDry to improve moisture removal, including on plastics. We also cover zone wash features and app-based controls, along with the need to use connected features for certain functions. The 500 Series auto-open drying system is also discussed. Next, we examine KitchenAid dishwashers, focusing on pricing, stainless steel construction, noise levels, rack design, and filtration systems. We explain which series offer easier maintenance and fan-assisted drying, and why these models are considered strong performers for their cost. We review LG dishwashers, including their reliability record, recent rack-related issues, and the use of steam generators to help loosen stains. We discuss three-level washing systems, hour-long wash and dry cycles, and how pricing affects their value. Asko dishwashers are covered next, including their rack construction, manufacturing history, tall tub design, and interior capacity. We explain how pricing and rebates influence their position in the market. We then discuss GE Profile and Café dishwashers, noting their pricing, feature sets, color options, Microban handles, bottle and silverware jets, and reliability rates. We explain where these models offer value and where they fall short compared to competitors. Finally, we review Cove dishwashers from Sub-Zero and Wolf. We focus on rack construction, interior build quality, pricing, rebate programs, and recent improvements in performance and efficiency. We explain how Cove compares to other premium options in terms of construction and overall value. --------- Interested in learning more? About This Video

In this video, I rank today’s most popular dishwashers using a tier system (we’re stingy with the S’s) and explain what actually matters in real-world use: washing, drying, reliability, and value. I start with Miele—specifically the upper-end models—because it’s the best dishwasher you can buy right now. The racking is excellent, the wash system is the best, and the drying is really good with the auto-open door. I also thought AutoDos was a gimmick, but it works—because it doses detergent based on what you’re washing, not like a pod that just splatters the same amount everywhere. It’s also the least repaired in the first year at about 5.5%, but the pricing makes the “value” grade lower. Then I get into Bosch/Thermador (same dishwasher family) and why the 800 Series is the most popular we sell. Zeolite/CrystalDry is phenomenal—probably the closest thing to actually drying plastics. KitchenAid is the value surprise: at $750–$1,000 you get stainless construction, quiet operation, great racks, and on some models fan-assisted dry (plus easier filtration on the M series). I also cover LG’s reliability track record (with a recent rack issue), Asko’s great racks and tall-tub space, GE Profile/Café for features and promo pricing, and Cove for premium build that makes more sense with Sub-Zero/Wolf rebates.
