HAPPY NEW YEAR, folks—welcome to 2026, and welcome back to XP Waste. In this episode it’s me and Oxie doing what we always do to start the year: we catch up on life, we talk OSRS, and we set the tone for what we’re trying to accomplish. We kick things off with the most important update of all: Oxie finally got the Quiver. After a year of getting tilted by the Colosseum (82 attempts total), he woke up on December 21st and decided to Doomscend it until his brain melted… and then he got it three attempts in. Classic. From there we do the real “goals episode” work—recapping the year and setting up what 2026 is going to look like. I run through my Ironman progress (days played, XP gained, total levels, quest cape/diary progress), and we talk about how different this year might feel with more IRL responsibilities and less “sit at the PC and grind” time. Oxie’s been deep in a Minecraft binge, I’ve been doing physical work for my father-in-law (moving heavy rock all day), and we’re both trying to figure out how to balance real life with RuneScape goals. We also pitch a ridiculous IRL content idea: bringing me to Michigan to “train my IRL skills” like it’s an OSRS progression arc—farmers market gathering, crafting stuff in town, fencing tournament spectating, and Renaissance Festival ranged training. It’s unhinged, but it’s very us.
