This week on XP Waste, we’re doing a gut check on Leagues 6 because Jagex finally dropped the first real info-heavy blog and, yeah, the countdown is officially on. We talk through the biggest shake-up right away: we’re starting in Varlamore and Misthalin is straight up not accessible. That is a massive derailment for the first few hours of “normal” League routing—no Lumbridge/Draynor/Edgeville comfort blanket, no easy early-game crutches, and a bunch of old guide logic just goes straight in the bin. From there, we get into why I actually love the change. Varlamore as a free start is stupid strong: Perilous Moons, Hunter Rumours, Mixology, the Coliseum, fairy rings, and a ton of tools to build a whole new early-game plan. We also start theorycrafting region picks (and why I’m torn between comfort picks like Zeah/Mory/Wildy versus changing it up), plus we talk Echo bosses and my bold prediction that Jagex isn’t just going to “run it back” with the same Echo weapons and rewards. Sailing not being in this League is a bummer, but I get why region-locked balancing would be a nightmare.
