In this episode, I’m live with Michael about 19 minutes before the 2026 OSRS Winter Summit kicks off, and we basically do the most XP Waste thing possible: panic about streaming logistics, shout out the Patrons, and then immediately start spiraling into predictions and “what would I actually change about the game if Jagex let me cook.” We talk skill reworks (smithing/mining, agility, run energy), why the community gets weird about changing “old school” systems, and how metas get protected even when they’re kind of nonsense (yes, I’m looking at you, rune crafting XP rates built around runners). After the Summit ends (like, ten minutes after), we come back with the freshest possible reactions. The big vibe: it was very “welming.” Not underwhelming—because the content looks great—but a lot of it was stuff we already knew from earlier teases, so we didn’t get that classic “oh [__] what is that?!” surprise moment as often. We still break down what we’re excited for in 2026: Raids 4 hype, Blood Moon Rising and vampyre storyline love, Demonic Packs going insanely hard, and Deadman shifting toward being more casual-friendly (with Allstars taking the hardcore spotlight). And yes—Leagues timing is already trying to grief our bingo plans again.
