In this episode of XP Waste, I’m back with Michael and we’re doing what we do best: taking a perfectly normal OSRS topic (Varlamore Part 3) and immediately derailing into real life, bingo salt, and whatever fresh chaos the week handed us. I barely played OSRS—one TOB where I “took Michael through” it, some Slayer on the iron, and that’s about it. Michael’s in that semi-burnt “I can stop anytime I want” era, and we somehow end up talking about no Wi‑Fi, Boon Bape conspiracy theories, and why raiding with cracked players makes Akkha feel like a spa day. Then we lock in on the main event: Varlamore: The Final Dawn. We talk about why we’re covering it before release (because being a day late and instantly wrong is pain), and we run through the big headline stuff we’re hyped for—wrapping the questline, a new boss, a new skilling activity, a new Slayer dungeon, and finally getting the giant crab. I also shout out how good the release cadence has been, even if it’s been stretched out, because I’d rather get solid content in chunks than a giant dump followed by emergency fixes. Plus: stackable clues are still insanely cool, even if I’m trying not to get distracted mid-recording.
