Welcome back to XP Waste—this week Oxie and I ditch the news rundown and go full tier-list goblin: we’re ranking the worst quests in Old School RuneScape. And yeah, we’re doing it the correct way—F tier at the top (the true dumpster) and S tier at the bottom (still not great, just… less criminal). We pulled 24 quests and miniquests that the community loves to hate, plus a few personal grudges we’ve collected over way too many accounts. We start getting into why certain “bad” quests are bad for different reasons: some are annoying because of outdated mechanics (disease is a prime example), some are only awful if you don’t have modern QoL like teleports (Layer of Tarn Razorlor without a slayer ring is pure suffering), and some are just a pain because you’ve done them so many times they stop being cute (Misthalin Mystery, I’m looking at you). We also talk about how stuff like Quest Helper can change the whole experience—some quests are only tolerable now because a plugin carries them. The big takeaway: “worst quest” isn’t just difficulty. It’s bad design, bad pacing, weird rewards, and how much it disrespects your time. And yes—we’re inevitably heading toward the Ratcatchers conversation, because of course we are.
