This week on XP Waste, I’ve got the first big blog of 2026 pulled up and we’re talking through why “getting around” in OSRS is about to feel way smoother. Michael called it a heater, and even if I’m not foaming at the mouth over every single line item, there’s legit QoL in here that’s going to save time, clicks, and brainpower—especially if you’re the kind of person who lives out of a POH and a Portal Nexus like the rest of us. We start with the fun stuff: Holy Sandals + Mole Slippers getting merged into “Holy Moly,” and a hooded Slayer Helm cosmetic for 99 Slayer (for a casual 1,000 points). I’m voting yes, but I’m also keeping it real: some of these cosmetics are sick, but they’re not automatically going to match your day-to-day Slayer setups unless your whole fit is built around it. Then we get into the real meat: Portal Nexus teleports finally expanding with stuff like Lassar, Ice Plateau, Trollheim, and more. The big takeaway is simple—Jagex is cleaning up old weird omissions and making travel less annoying. It’s not gamebreaking, but it’s the kind of update that makes the mid-game grind and clue routing feel less like you’re doing chores.
