Grid Master 2025 is basically on our doorstep, so in this episode I’m doing the “get it out early so we can actually play” thing and theorycrafting a start plan with Michael. We break down the core concept: a 7x7 task board where every tile completion unlocks a reward, plus row/column bonuses—so it’s like bingo and Leagues had a weird, overpowered baby. And I’ll be honest: when they first pitched “bingo + leagues,” I thought it might be kind of boring, but the rewards they’ve teased are actually kind of fire. We talk through some of the most ridiculous examples we’ve seen so far—like cooking a shark with a chef’s hat to get a Corrupted Shark (one inventory slot food that doesn’t get consumed), and how some tasks straight-up unlock Leagues-tier relics like Golden God. The big difference from Leagues is you’re not choosing between three relics; if you do the task, you get the reward, which means you can stack stuff that would normally be mutually exclusive. Then I lay out my early route: Animal Wrangler first for quick food, rush Varlamore access, and use the gemstone crab task to unlock the Gatherer relic (linking Fishing/Mining/Thieving). From there, we talk Tempoross into Craftsman and the “Golden God into insane Construction XP” angle, plus why we think there’s probably a maxing task somewhere on the board. Basically: plan fast, unlock broken relics early, and try not to grief your own month-long timeline.
