Deep House can get super formulaic if you always build chords and melodies the same way, so in this video I purposely go experimental. I start the session at 117 BPM and build the whole vibe from loops and processed one-shots I already trust—kicks with bounce, hats, and little movement textures—then I arrange them in a way that leaves space early and introduces groove later. The big idea is: don’t over-plan the “destination.” If you move clips around, trim smart, and let the groove guide you, the track can feel unpredictable but still make sense when it lands. From there I pull up my template sounds and start “causing trouble” with a minor ninth chord idea, then I duplicate and shift parts to create a call-and-response bounce. I layer atmospheric synths (Zebralette), add more texture (Podolski), and keep everything as background rhythm—EQ, reverb, delay—so it stays deep without getting emotional. The bass section gets serious: I use an existing pattern as a guide, build a log drum variation, then layer it with a sub for that powerful low-end. Finally I add a simple lead in Vital, sprinkle FX and a vocal hit for transitions, and even fade the kick to break the vibe before it drops back in.
