The short drink is - alongside Rusty Nail and the Manhattan variants Rob Roy and Bobby Burns - one of the very few well-known mixed drinks that are made with Scotch Whisky. It is not known exactly when the cocktail was created, but it is certain that the name refers to the 1922 silent film of the same name. INGREDIENTS 20 ml / ¾ oz. Scotch Whisky 20 ml / ¾ oz. Cherry Heering liqueur 20 ml / ¾ oz. Sweet Vermouth Rosso 20 ml / ¾ oz. orange juice METHOD 1. Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes. 2. Shake well. 3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. 4. Garnish with an orange peel.
