The Grenadine version of the Bacardí Cocktail originated in the US, while the original non-red Bacardí company recipe originated from Cuba. INGREDIENTS 60 ml/ 2 oz. Bacardi Carta Blanca light rum 15 ml / ½ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice 7,5 ml/ ¼ oz. Grenadine syrup 5 ml/ ⅙ oz. sugar syrup METHOD 1. Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes. 2. Shake well. 3. Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass. 4. Garnish with a cherry. NOTES On April 28, 1936, the New York Supreme Court ruled that the drink must contain Bacardí Rum in order to be called a Bacardí cocktail.
