A smash (from the English word “smash,” meaning “to crush, break, smash”) is a cocktail made with fresh herbs or crushed fruits. In this case, we’re using half an avocado. INGREDIENTS 60 ml/ 2 oz. Gin 30 ml/ 1 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice 15 ml/ ½ oz sugar syrup ½ ripe avocado METHOD 1. Muddle avocado in base of shaker. 2. Add Gin, lime juice and sugar syrup. 3. Add ice and shake well. 4. Fine strain into chilled glass. 5. Garnish with a green olive.
