It’s been a year since my last desk setup video, I moved to another new city, and my WFH setup has changed a lot—so in this video I walk you through my 2022 home office desk setup as a UX designer and content creator. I start with the furniture: my Autonomous standing desk (I switch between sitting and standing every hour or so), the Autonomous ErgoChair Core, and a few Grovemade pieces that basically leveled up the organization and the overall minimal aesthetic. The Grovemade desk shelf helps me reduce clutter by creating a “top layer” and letting me hide my dock and accessories underneath, and the wool felt desk pad makes the workspace feel more cozy while protecting the desk. Then I get into the tech that supports my actual day-to-day workflow: my LG 34” ultrawide monitor for more screen real estate (great for multitasking and video editing), the CalDigit TS3 Plus dock to streamline connections, and the BenQ ScreenBar Plus that comes in clutch if you work at night. I also cover my Logitech MX Master 3 mouse and MX Keys keyboard (I’m still not on the mechanical keyboard hype), plus my Magic Trackpad for horizontal scrolling in tools like Figma and Final Cut Pro. Finally, I share two non-tech productivity tools I swear by—Ugmonk Analog cards and a simple analog timer—because physical tools keep me focused when WFH distractions are everywhere.
