In this video I’m reviewing the European-exclusive Nahvalur Explorer through my usual left-handed lens—because a pen can look great on paper and still be a problem if the nib runs dry when you’re pushing across the page. Overall, I like what the Explorer is trying to do: it’s a lot of pen for the money, and it hits that "good value" sweet spot that makes Nahvalur easy to recommend when you want something that feels substantial without going fully boutique. That said, the big asterisk here is nib dryness. For me, that’s the kind of issue that can turn a “nice daily driver” into a pen I only reach for when I’m in the mood to baby it. I talk through what that dryness feels like in real use, why it matters more when you’re left-handed, and what I still enjoy about the pen despite that. The other frustration is availability—being an overseas exclusive makes it harder to justify hunting down, especially when there are plenty of easier-to-buy options in the same price bracket.
