In this video I’m reviewing the Magna Carta Mag600s, and if you’ve seen any of Magna Carta’s lineup, you already know the vibe: very vintage, very “classic pen” energy. The Mag600s keeps that aesthetic, but it also brings some updates that actually matter in-hand—like the new band and the new material. It’s the kind of refresh where it still looks like a Magna Carta, but feels a little more dialed-in compared to what you might be expecting from the older look. The real headline, though, is the new stainless steel True Flex nib. This is way more up my alley in terms of how it writes, because I feel like I can actually control it. Flex is one of those things that can get chaotic fast, and this nib feels like it wants to cooperate instead of fight you. If you’re flex-curious and you want something that feels more manageable (especially if you’re trying to build good habits instead of just chasing max line variation), I think there’s a lot to love here.
