Today I’m doing a GRWM-style try-on with the goodies from my March Allure Beauty Box, and I’m keeping it real for 50+ skin that’s dry, textured, and still wants to glow. I tested the Rose Inc cream blush (shade Hydrangea… yes, I’m still side-eyeing how I pronounced it), the Tru Skn Sculpted Lip Liner in Mulberry, and the Grown Alchemist Soothing Hand Cream. The one thing I did not test? That Wakse scented hair removal cream, because I opened it once and my room stunk to high heaven—over a week later I could still smell it, and that’s a hard no for something that would sit under my nose. The Rose Inc blush was the standout for me: balmy going on, then it starts to set more like a soft powder without feeling sticky. I tried finger application versus brush, and I really think tapping with fingers and finishing with a brush (or just using a brush if you’re heavy-handed like me) gives the prettiest, most controlled result—very glowy. The lip liner was easy to apply but way too dark for my “nudie girl” preferences, and the super-fine tip felt like it would take forever to fill in. Once I added gloss, it mellowed out and honestly made me wonder why I bother with lip liner at all.
