It’s been way too long since I’ve done a slow declutter, so in this GRWM I shopped my stash and actually tested products that have been sitting in my collection for years. The whole point is simple: I get ready with “forgotten” makeup, then I decide if it deserves a spot in my rotation… or if there’s a reason I haven’t touched it since 2019/2020. I’m 50+ with dry, textured skin (and yes, I was sporting a fake tan), so I’m always paying attention to buildability, how powder products sit on the skin, and whether something is going to make me look like I went ham. I tried the ginormous ColourPop Matte Bronzer (Avila Beach), the nostalgic IPSY x Betty Boop cheek palette, and the Iconic London Lit and Luminous baked highlighter. For eyes, I used the Beauty Creations Murillo Twins palettes and kept it very “me” with pink/peach neutrals—because I’m not adventurous, and that’s okay. I finished with the Floss “My New Favorite Lip Gloss” in LAX (which, in my opinion, wears more like a lip mousse). My final decisions: I decluttered the ColourPop bronzer (too big, annoying packaging) and I let both Murillo Twins palettes go (I have too many similar shades and I’m not separating twins). I kept the Betty Boop cheek trio for the nostalgia and the shades, kept the Iconic London highlighter for that nice glow (plus brow bone perfection), and kept the Floss lip product because it’s giving 90s/late-80s pink and I’m all for it.
