Sadly, the Walmart beauty box didn’t give me anything to try on this month, so we’re going all Allure for my December 2025 sub box try-on. I’m Julie (WYGO Warrior), and I’m doing a GRWM-style test on the two makeup items that came in my Allure Beauty Box: the BEAUTY FOR CERTAIN Soft to Sculpted “Contour” Palette and the DIBS BEAUTY Go To Glossy Balm in Kiss Me Quick. I already had my foundation, concealer, eye primer, and mascara on, so we jumped straight into swatches, application, and the real-time “does this work on 50+ skin?” verdict. Let’s talk about that palette: I went digging on the brand site and—plot twist—it’s called an eyeshadow palette down at the bottom… which is exactly how I ended up using it. The shades were powdery (not shocking), pretty shimmery, and honestly not what I want for contour or bronzer—especially with those warm/orange tones and shimmer. I tried mixing shades, I blended and blended, cleaned up edges with concealer, and even grabbed an About Face shadow stick to rescue the look. The final result wasn’t my favorite, and I’m still side-eyeing the “made for Allure” situation. The bright spot? The DIBS gloss. Kiss Me Quick is right up my alley: shiny, subtly sparkly, and it actually worked with the eye look. Just know there are very fine glitter particles—you can barely feel them, but if lip texture bugs you, that matters.
