About This Video

Remember back in November/December when the Allure Beauty Box had the RODIAL Bee Venom Eye Cream? A bunch of you asked if I’d tried it yet, and I hadn’t—so in this video I finally “man up” and put it to the test for a first impression on my 50+ under-eyes (dry, textured, and living in the real world). I talk through the big question: would I be scared to use an eye cream with bee venom? There’s a clear warning—if you’re allergic to bee stings, don’t use it. I’m not allergic, so I went in carefully and applied it a little lower than I normally would because, let’s be honest, eye products love to creep. On application, it looked like a basic white cream (I weirdly expected clear), and I didn’t get any noticeable fragrance—just that faint “ingredients” cream smell. Most importantly: no tingling, no stinging, no drama. If anything, it felt a touch cooling, but nothing major. Then I came back after about 45 minutes with my makeup fully on (and yes, I had three products under my eyes… probably too many). My takeaway: it wore fine under makeup, and I still felt nothing—no irritation, no burning. If “bee venom” scared the beebies out of you, my first impression is it’s fine (again, assuming no allergy), and the bee venom is way down the ingredient list—likely more marketing than magic. And no, I’m not holding my breath for miracles.
