I can’t believe 2025 is over and done with and we’re finally in 2026, so it’s time for my December 2025 empties and speed reviews. If you like hearing what I actually used up (and what I would or would not repurchase), this one is for you. I break everything down by category—hair care, household/personal items, skincare, and a couple makeup empties—with real talk for 50+ skin and real-life routines. On the “boring but necessary” side, I’ve got a Dial hand soap that was a hard no for me (hello, hospital soap smell), and a foaming Equate hand wash that I would repurchase. Dollar Tree also showed up with a Wizard air freshener that didn’t perform like Glade (not even for $1.25), plus some feminine wipes that worked fine, but the scent was very “old lady” to me. For skincare, I loved the Dermelect Outcrease Retinol Trifecta Serum for that smoothing, not-greasy feel, and Skin & Co’s toner is another one I highly recommend—signature almond-ish scent and just a joy to use. Makeup-wise, I’m mourning my Wet n Wild Dewy Lumineux primer (if it still exists, I’ll buy it again), and I finished my ride-or-die: L’Oréal Telescopic Lift Waterproof Mascara—my number one for length and staying power.
