I was out riding on mountain bike trail and something went wrong. Hmm, yeah this is exactly as I feared. This Stan's freehub might be toast. Now I do have a replacement handy - an XD hub body, but that means I need to put on an XD cassette which I do not have. The options would be: Use the XD body and buy a new XD cassette for a minimum of $170ish Get a new Stan's HG body for a minimum of $120ish Get a new after-market hub body that will work on the Stan's Wait, on the last one is that even possible? Can I maybe steal the freehub off of my DT-Swiss wheels? The former maybe, the latter I don't think so because they are just too different. If only right? Well I do have an Amazon purchased $35 freehub body... will it work? Let's find out.
